The 'Animal Feeding' or From ‘Feed the Birds’ to ‘Do Not Feed the Animals’ project held a series of public workshops with artists Rebecca Jewell and Sandy Sykes. Participants explored mediaeval Bestiaries, discussed animal feeding practices in the past and present, and learned watercolour painting techniques. Each attendee had the opportunity to create their own Bestiary page and write a short story inspired by their research. These works will be featured in a forthcoming printed Modern Bestiary, and a selection of the artworks will additionally be shown in a temporary exhibition in collaboration with the Museum of English Rural Life (MERL) from October until January 2025.
